Mark Your Calendar for the June 19 Northern Colorado Community River Float with Diversify Whitewater

Diversify Whitewater

The RiverBent team is happy to announce that we’re partnering with Diversify Whitewater—a national nonprofit that works to share the beauty of paddling with Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), and Allies—and Rocky Mountain Adventures on the second annual Community River Float on the Poudre River on June 19. We’ll have a number of guides and experienced boaters leading the charge down a fun float on the Filter Plant section. Regardless of your background or experience, you’re welcome to join Audrey, me, Lily Durkee of Diversify Whitewater, and the Rocky Mountain Adventures gang on June 19.

Participants and volunteers will meet at Picnic Rock located near Fort Collins on CO-14 at 8:00am MDT on Saturday, June 19th to catch a shuttle to the launch site. The group will float the beginner-friendly Filter Plant section of the Poudre River in guided rafts and other crafts together. On the river, participants will learn whitewater rafting basics with experienced river guides while navigating class I-III rapids. Lunch will be provided for all participants and volunteers at Picnic Rock after the river run. This event is 100% FREE for all attendees! (For more info about previous Diversify Whitewater events, check out our post on this relatively new nonprofit org.)
