Who we are

This site is owned and operated by RiverBent, a property of Everyone Outdoors LLC. Our website address is: https://www.riverbent.com.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. Keep in mind that if you include your full name or other identifiers in your comment, that information can be viewed by anyone reading the comments section of the web site.

Advertising and affiliate links

RiverBent is an affiliate of AvantLink, a program that connects us with outdoor gear manufacturers. If a particular manufacturer provides gear that we love and recommend, we will include an “affiliate link” to that item. If you end up buying that item (or, sometimes, if you end up buying something else from that manufacturer), we might receive a small commission—at no additional cost to you.

RiverBent is affiliated with Monumetric (dba for The Blogger Network, LLC) for the purposes of placing advertising on the Site, and Monumetric will collect and use certain data for advertising purposes. To learn more about Monumetric’s data usage, click here: Publisher Advertising Privacy

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
